I have a Protector Type 6 lamp, my Dad was given it as a retirement present from Bolsover Colliery in 1980. It also says on the brass label "M & Q Safety Lamps Approval No. B/28", Makers Eccles. Can anyone tell me anything about this lamp and what fuel I should use for it, also where to buy a new wick? Also, there doesn't appear to be any spark when I strike the ignition key. I know it has worked at some point as my Dad showed me how to light it many years ago. Thanks if you can help. wendy236@btinternet.com
